Our Founder's Dream
Our founder, Nizar Mohamed Shariff or affectionately known as ‘Big Bear’, started Free Food For All in 2014 with a dream to feed the underprivileged and change lives for the better. Through the years, our impact has grown and reached across many communities with the same commitment to food security and in ensuring that no family is deprived of a nutritious meal.
Vision
An empowered community where vulnerable individuals and families, regardless of race or religion, can meet their basic need for nutritious food. Whilst having the capacity and capabilities to break out of the poverty cycle.
Mission
To mitigate food insecurity for vulnerable individuals and families by providing access to good nutritious food
What makes us special?
We believe in adopting a holistic approach to uplift vulnerable families, beyond just food assistance.
Nutrition
We do not compromise on nutritional value in our food aid programmes. Good nutrition is especially essential for the growth and development of our children beneficiaries.
Empowerment
We aim to empower families with the right skills through workshops and training programmes to get them back on their feet and be financially independent.
Community Building
We strive to create a sense of community and solidarity through the kampung spirit in our beneficiaries. Where the recipients in turn become the givers.
Innovation
We leverage technology and innovation to provide more efficient and sustainable ways of rendering food assistance to our beneficiaries, including adopting a farm-to-table strategy.
Who We Serve
We have grown exponentially and served over 144,000 beneficiaries to date. We strive to provide nutritious meals completely free of charge to help those in need and empower them to lead healthier lives.
